Fundraise 3

Introduction

The HKSAR Government has decided to issue money to all citizens that are at least 18 years old. This is unfair as people below the age of 18 are barred from receiving the money. Hence to benefit from it is to benefit from adultism, and so the consecrated would contribute all of such monetary benefits in a fundraise to fulfill their obligations. This document calculate the monetary benefits that have to be contributed.

Expenditures

Similar to during Fundraise 1, the HKSAR Government issued this money in the form of consumption vouchers, where one would have to spend the money in a certain way to access it. And, similar to Fundraise 2, I have decided to perform the fundraise in a more efficient method. That is, I will spend most of the money within the consumption vouchers in a single purchase, buying gold, and then resell the gold later to convert the consumption vouchers into cash. This way, the accounting of monetary benefits received from the HKSAR Government will be greatly simplified: if the end amount of cash is lower than the amount of money within the consumption vouchers, it is my terrible investment strategy with gold that costed such a lost, hence I still owe a grand total of 5000 HKD to the Anti-Adultism Fund; if the end amount of cash is greater than the amount of money within the consumption vouchers, the profit is counted as additional monetary benefits that could only have existed due to the consumption vouchers in the first place, hence also owed to the Anti-Adultism Fund.

But, unlike during Fundraise 2, the gold deal available at the gold vendor had changed. That is, they had decided to give a 300 HKD discount to the purchase of gold due to the specific payment method I used to buy it (Alipay). Since I only ended up using that payment method because that was how I received my consumption vouchers (normally I pay in cash instead of Alipay), and the reason I received consumption vouchers was, in turn, due to adultism, the 300 HKD discount had to be counted as benefiting from adultism, and contributed to this fundraise as well. Moreover, deducting 300 HKD from the price of gold, the true cost of gold for me had dropped below 5000 HKD, so that the remaining (non-gold) parts of the monetary benefits had to be spent separately, the same way as in Fundraise 1, and then added back into this fundraise as well, to avoid benefiting from adultism. So, below are the transactions performed to turn the consumption vouchers into cash.

Government Consumption Voucher (5000 HKD)

Date Expenditure Credit (HKD) Debit (HKD) Proof
7th of August, 2022 Receiving money from the HKSAR Government 0.00 2000.00 (Not required)
1st of October, 2022 Receiving money from the HKSAR Government 0.00 3000.00 (Not required)
20th of October, 2022 Chow Tai Fook 4923.00 300.00
20th of October, 2022 Choi Kee (Hong Kong) 0.00 4506.00
27th of October, 2022 Nam Kee Noodle 0.00 31.00
27th of October, 2022 Nam Kee Noodle 0.00 46.00
11th of November, 2022 One Satoshi 5300.00 0.00

Conclusion

In the tables above, it costed me 4923.00 HKD to buy the gold, but selling the gold only gave me 4506.00 HKD in cash, resulting in a net loss. As explained above, this part would make me owe 4923.00 HKD instead of 4506.00 HKD. Moreover, as explained above, I also owe an additional 300.00 HKD to the Anti-Adultism Fund. This, combined with the remaining 77.0 HKD that was spent separately, meant that I owe a grand total of 5300.00 HKD to the Anti-Adultism Fund: monetary benefits that have to be contributed in upcoming missions. For now, the 5300.00 HKD would be invested into the Metaverse Index for safekeeping until a mission could be found. The reasoning behind the choice of the Metaverse Index could be found on page 4 of the Report on the Second Campaign. By the time a mission could be found, the investment returns would be calculated. If the investment resulted in a net loss, it is my terrible investment strategy with the Metaverse Index that costed such a loss, hence I still owe a grand total of 5300.00 HKD to the Anti-Adultism Fund; if the investment resulted in a net gain, the profit is counted as additional monetary benefits that could only have existed due to the consumption vouchers in the first place, hence also owed to the Anti-Adultism Fund.
